For lunch or dinner, try grilled salmon. This nutrient rich fish contains omega-3 fatty acids that alter a hormone called leptin. The lower your leptin levels, the more calories your body burns. Pair your salmon with vegetables and you have a healthy and filling meal.

Edamame is a great fat burning snack food. Originally from Japan, edamame are soybeans that are excellent sources of protein, iron, calcium and vitamin C. They are also filling and relatively low in calories. This one is my favorite energy food.

Berries like strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries are excellent sources of fiber, and vitamins. They give you the added energy you need, without all of the fat and calories.
