Easiest Way To Lose Weight
I have found that the easiest way to lose weight starts with the right mindset. You have to make a plan, create weight loss goals, and stick with it. Yesterday, I blogged about building self esteem and weight loss, and while you may be wondering just what they have in common, the answer for me is everything.
The Easiest Way To Lose Weight Is To Pay Attention To YouÂ
I spent years with my focus on everyone but myself. As a result, I lost track of my
own needs and desires. I gained 60 pounds very gradually over the years as I numbed myself with fried chicken, french fries with blue cheese, chocolate and red wine. I always had an excuse as to why I wasn’t losing weight, and I was always on a diet until that next stress knocked me off of my can.
You can face your fears too, and come out a winner in the weight loss game.
For me, the easiest way to lose weight was to start caring about myself. I found that I really do have to start being more compassionate with myself, and in turn teaching my son the real meaning of compassion. When you have kids, you discover some really hard truths about yourself. It wasn’t until I almost lost everything back in June that I realized how really important it was to stand up straight and have some real self worth.
The Easiest Way To Lose Weight Is To Surrender Yourself To Your Higher Power
Once that clicked with me, and I started to work on my own self esteem, I began to let go of everything. I listened to Pema Chodron’s series on Getting Unstuck everyday because in fact the ground was shifting underneath my feet. Its on YouTube, and I highly recommend it if you are struggling in your life. I also hopped on my treadmill and blasted my music most every night to work on staying with my weight loss plans. Sometimes the stress would wear me down so badly that I would have little or no appetite, and while I lost more weight, I realized that I would need to eat to stay healthy and start rebuilding my life.
For me, a low fat diet through The Diet Solution is what worked, and cardio exercises at 40 to 50 minutes a day, five times a week. I drink water and herbal tea with lemon. I had to stay with the moment, jump into my fears, and work towards my goals to ultimately lose 40 pounds.
